About

Read The Room is an independent author-run bookstore, concept store and café nestled in Dresden’s Neustadt. It is a little haven where a library, living room, reading nook, and event space come together.

The idea was born during Hannah’s tumultuous life in London, where she was inspired by the vibrant bookshops and café culture, and dreamt of creating a space where stories and atmosphere intertwine.

The shop is more than a place to buy English books – here, books, art, and everyday beauty come together in harmony. Think stories worth keeping and objects worth gifting.

At Read The Room, storytelling becomes an experience – a collection designed to be felt, not just found. A place to pause, explore, and be inspired. We host book exchanges and gatherings, creating a space where stories are shared, connections are made, and every visit feels like coming home.
